What does Groundfloor do with any money recovered from foreclosures or defaults?

Last Updated: Jul 26, 2016 03:46PM EDT
In a default, our goal is to recover as much money as possible. If we are able to restructure the loan so the borrower has a better chance of paying it back, sell the underlying note, or otherwise foreclosure on a property, we will be able to return money to investors. We will return any proceeds we collect less the costs of recovery. Where more money has been recovered than what investors are owed, including any penalties or fees that are passed on to investors, that extra money will be put aside the cover the costs of other defaulted loans.
