If you ever encounter any issues or unique scenarios, such as forgetting to input a promo code or experiencing technical difficulties during the account setup, Groundfloor provides helpful solutions like manual credit adjustments.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Link Your Bank Account After you sign up, you’ll be prompted to link your bank account. This step is required before you can enter a promo or referral code.
Choose Your First Investment Once your bank account is linked, you’ll be guided to select your first investment.
Review Your Investment During Checkout After selecting an investment, during the checkout step, you’ll see a confirmation section that includes a field for entering a promo or referral code.
Enter Your Referral Code On the confirmation screen, look for the “Referral Code” field. Enter your promo or referral code in this section before confirming your investment.
Receive Your Referral Bonus After your first investment is completed, our system will automatically track your referral and distribute any applicable bonus within 30 calendar days. For specific referral programs, such as the "Sam Smith High Yield Investor" program, additional criteria may apply (e.g., investing $1,000 or more for at least 30 days) to receive a $100 credit. Always ensure eligibility by reviewing program requirements.

Forgot to Enter Code During Onboarding
If you miss entering a promo or referral code during onboarding, Groundfloor can manually adjust the credits after you meet qualifying criteria, such as making a required investment and holding it for a specified period. Please contact support to request the adjustment.
