First, please be sure your tax information is updated. If you need to update it, follow these steps:

In your account, click on the Menu icon on the top right-hand corner, shown below by the person icon with a gear above it.

Click on 'Tax Center' to access the tax information center.

From there, make sure to select if you are filing as an individual or a business.

  1. For an individual, Enter your SSN/ITIN, legal first, middle & last names

  2. Enter the appropriate phone number and address.

  3. For a business, Enter the appropriate EIN and make sure to include the Business Name when prompted.

You are able to enter separate information for each sub-account if you so desire.

Once your tax information is submitted, by January 31 of the following year, you can then download your tax form following these steps:

  1. In your account, click on the paper icon labeled 'documents' from the left-side menu and then select the 'tax forms' tab.

  2. Click on the consolidated tax form link. Please note that you will be issued a separate consolidated form for each sub-account.

Within this document, you may have the following forms: In 2024, Groundfloor transitioned to issuing a consolidated 1099 tax document. This new format unifies related tax information into a single document for improved accessibility and simplicity.

  • 1099-INT: Issued if you earned more than $10 in interest.

  • 1099-B: Covers taxable transactions, including losses associated with Limited Recourse Obligations (LROs).

  • 1099-DIV: Issued if you earned over $10 in combined dividends and return of capital.

  • 1099-MISC: Applies if you earned more than $600 through promotional or referral credits.
