How do I transfer/withdraw funds out of Groundfloor?

General Funds Transfer Information

To get my money out of your account, you can transfer the funds out the same way you transfer funds in when it comes to either sub-account.

Due to security and the safety of our investors, please note that funds must remain in the Groundfloor account for up to 10 business days before they can be transferred out. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Additionally, please note wire transfers are processed on Mondays and Thursdays, which may slightly impact transfer timelines.

If the funds are currently invested as "Invested Balance" in your dashboard, the funds are not eligible to transfer out because they are currently invested. Once the investments have completed repayment and are accrued in your Total Cash Available, you’ll be able to transfer the funds out. To accrue funds in your Total Cash Available, be sure automatic reinvesting is turned off.

Please note: We do not offer automatic withdrawals from your Groundfloor account to your bank account. You can set aside a specific amount of funds you wish to remain liquid for you manually withdrawal.

To transfer funds to and from your Groundfloor Account, follow the steps below:​

Fund Transfers from Investment Repayments

To move additional funds from investment repayments to a beneficiary's account, please complete and submit an account liquidation form with detailed typed instructions. Wire transfers are processed on Mondays and Thursdays, and there is no fee for amounts $1 or greater. However, check with the beneficiary's bank for any additional receiving fees.

  1. Click on the circled arrow icon labeled 'Transfers'.

  2. Then, click on the blue 'New Transfer' button underneath the sub-account you wish to complete a funds transfer for.

  3. In the 'From' field, select 'Auto Investor', and in the 'To' field, choose your linked bank account.

  4. Select whether you would like it to be a one-time transfer or a recurring transfer.

  5. Choose one of the listed amounts or input a custom amount in the text box.

  6. Review all transfer details carefully for accuracy.

  7. Click 'Submit' to finalize the transfer.
